JEE Main 2019 is nearing at a large pace. Candidates seeking admissions in B.Tech/B.Arch in one of the renowned universities will take the exam which would now be conducted by NTA (National Test Agency). The exam would be held twice in a year (in Jan and April).
As the time is speeding up, candidates must have become more focused regarding their preparation. But one should keep in mind that the preparation must be result oriented.
Just clearing the exam would not lead you anywhere but the rank you score would matter. Therefore, the focus of the student must be to secure a commendable rank. Rank depends on the marks scored by the candidates. To secure a decent rank, one must score at least 220 so that they may expect admission in one of the premier engineering institutes.
Here are some hacks to score decent marks in the examination which can guarantee you a nice rank are as follows:-
Practice Mocks: This may be considered as the pro-tip for success in any competitive exam. As the syllabus for JEE Main has not changed much, you just have to get along with the pattern of computer-based exam and nothing else. One must be able to tackle the pressure of an online examination. Mock tests are to make you accustomed to the pattern of exam in online mode so that the students do not get panicked while appearing for the real examination.
Draft a Strategy: This is another important thing to do is to plan your studies. Make a plan and stick to it strictly. The plan that you make must not be hypocritical. It should be the one which you may implement without taking toll on yourself. Strategy may be based on the difficulty level of the topics and subjects. You can prepare according to your strengths and weakness in various topics.
Base Must be Strongly Built: To do the questions of higher level, it is important that you focus on the basic concepts first. Start solving the basic questions first and then move to the trickier ones. A number of questions you solve is directly proportional to your chances of being there! So, you must study from the NCERT of class XI and XII of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Look for the solutions whenever you get stuck in a question but also try to find another two to three ways to solve that question. This would enhance your confidence and would clear your concepts in a big way.
Know Your Drawbacks: While you solve previous years’ questions and mock tests, try to find out your weak sections from the syllabus and work on them. Not to be forgotten, negative marking is the biggest enemy of a candidate in a competitive exam. Try to find as many short tricks as you can to solve the trickiest of the questions in no time. With the number of attempts, care should be taken that you attempt minimum number of questions which causes deduction in your marks.
Be Positive: This is the ultimate tip to success. Have faith in yourself and your preparation. Do not get panicked at the end moment. While attempting the paper, do not think of the number of questions you are attempting, number of correct attempts etc. Just make sure that you have gone through the concepts well and you would automatically do well in the exam.
